***LOVED IT!!***

Hello all! Just wanted to update the info about the movie Eat, Pray, Love! I loved it!! 2 thumbs up and then some for me! Deb, I am wondering, what did you think, especially since you haven't read the book yet? Was it easy to follow?

I love the fact that she took the time for herself - FOR HERSELF ONLY!! - and went off on a soul searching adventure! What a spunky gal!! It must be very refreshing, yet a touch scary, to decide that you are going to pull up stakes and take off for the unknown! It looks like the right choice for her! By the way, did I mention that we preceded this movie with a wonderful Italian meal? :)

I hope all of you have a wonderful week ahead!

I did enjoy it. All though i was a bit apprehensive as several other bloggers expressed their disappointment. So with some misgivings i went to a matinee today. I'm such a crybaby. You would think i would learn to bring tissues.

Not sure i could have walked away from that marriage though. He obviosly loved her very much. The movie didn't show them trying counseling or anything?? I mean he was willing to let her go and try to find herself without a divorce.

Man the guy she ended up with was some pretty fine eye candy huh? LOL! Don't know his real name though do you? Don't see him in movies often. Loved the guy in India too. Love that combo don't you? Funny and wise.

Happy to hear that you enjoyed it, Deb!! If you get the chance to read the book, you will probably pick up a few 'extras' that fill in the blanks.

I did love the guy in India! I can't imagine being called 'Groceries!' The guy from Bali who had just a few teeth was a hoot, too!

As for the 'eye candy' that you mentioned - I agree!! It is Javier Bardem. Did you ever see 'No Country for Old Men' (he played a creepy role in that one) or Vicky Christina Barcelona? That is him!

Well girls... I'm glad to hear you both enjoyed it! I'm hearing very mixed reviews of it. It's interesting hearing Deb's perspective, and I agree... if you read the book you probably will understand more.

I have often longed to just get rid of everything and work on my spiritual journey, but I think once kids come into the picture, you've traded that ability. Although... my last is starting college next week, so who knows what adventure may be ahead?

Isn't that the best thing, June? Not knowing what is waiting around the corner!!

I can't wait to see it. I'm in the middle of the book now - takes me forever to read a novel because I read when I go to bed. Enough said.

The prelude italian meal was the perfect idea.

I want to see that movie! The trailer looks good. Julia Roberts is pretty much always good. :)
Thanks for the review, Sharon.

I went to see the movie last night and loved it! Sometimes relationships die even though the man is a good man.

So happy to hear you enjoyed the movie, too, Maria!

I agree with you, he must be a good man, but made for another woman! He just hasn't met his partner in life yet!!
